What Rooted in Grace provides

Non-medical postpartum support, newborn routine assistance, emotional reassurance, practical household help, meal preparation, family guidance, and referrals when needs fall outside the doula scope.

What Rooted in Grace does not replace

A doctor, midwife, nurse, therapist, lactation consultant, pediatrician, or emergency service. Medical questions should always be directed to the appropriate licensed professional.

Support shaped around your family, not a package template

The six areas above are not a menu you order from in advance. They are the areas LaTesha can move between during a visit, based on what your household actually needs that morning. Most visits touch several of them, and almost no two visits look the same.

That flexibility is deliberate. A rigid service list assumes a family knows in advance what will be hard, and postpartum rarely works that way.

What a typical visit looks like

Three hours, shaped around you. This is the usual rhythm, not a fixed script.

  1. A real check-in

LaTesha arrives, washes her hands, and asks how the night actually went. No rush and no agenda.

  2. The most useful thing first

Often that means you sleeping or showering while your baby is cared for. Everything else is built around it.

  3. Hands-on support

Newborn care, feeding help, or practising something you want to feel more confident doing.

  4. Food and the household

A meal prepared, snacks left within reach, bottles washed, and the feeding spaces reset.

  5. A gentle handoff

What the visit covered, anything worth watching, and anything worth raising at your next appointment.

Overnight support is quoted individually.

Overnight care depends on timing, location, household needs, and availability, so it is discussed and priced personally rather than listed. Share what you are considering and LaTesha will tell you honestly what is possible.

Questions about services

No. You choose a package based on how much support you want, not which tasks you will use. The priorities are decided visit by visit.

Yes, and it usually does. What helps in week one is rarely what helps in week six.

No. Rooted in Grace provides postpartum doula support focused on the recovering parent and the family transition, not traditional childcare.

No. Light household support connected to the postpartum period is included, such as dishes, baby laundry, and tidying baby-related spaces. Deep cleaning is a different service.

No. A night nurse or newborn care specialist focuses on the baby overnight. A postpartum doula provides non-medical support for the whole household, centred on the recovering parent, and Rooted in Grace works primarily in daytime hours.

You deserve support, too.
