About LaTesha

The woman behind Rooted in Grace.

Becoming a mother changed everything and led LaTesha to create a practice centered on compassion, grace, and genuine care for mothers navigating the fourth trimester.

Why I chose this work

Becoming a mother changed my life.

LaTesha’s own postpartum experience showed her how much a mother’s well-being can change when people notice, listen, and step in with real care. She had a strong support system during a difficult season and believes that support made a lasting difference.

As a mother of three and a mother for more than a decade, LaTesha created Rooted in Grace Doula Care to offer the kind of steady, compassionate presence she knows matters. Her support centers you as a mother, not only the baby, so you can feel seen, confident, respected, and cared for without judgment.

Her background also includes more than 20 years of caregiving experience, including work as a CNA. Her doula role is always non-medical: a calm, trusted presence in your home who helps create more room for rest, nourishment, and connection. For families who welcome faith into their care plan, LaTesha brings a Christian, grace-centered perspective while respecting each family’s choices.

“Every mother deserves a safe space to ask questions, rest without guilt, express emotions, and receive support without judgment.”

A note from LaTesha
I believe every mother deserves to feel held during the fourth trimester, not just told how strong she is, but actually supported so she can feel that strength. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
