Give postpartum support

The baby shower gift she will actually remember.

Friends and family can contribute toward in-home postpartum care or nourishing meals for a specific family. Gifts can be pooled, so a group can fund real support together.

The gift new parents actually need

Baby showers are generous and well-meant, and they produce an enormous number of outfits a baby outgrows in three weeks. Meanwhile the thing that would genuinely change the first month at home, real help, rarely appears on a registry because nobody thinks to put it there.

Postpartum support can be given. Friends, family, coworkers, and a church or community group can contribute toward in-home doula visits or prepared postpartum meals for a specific family. Contributions can be pooled, so ten people giving a small amount together can cover meaningful care.

How gifting works

  1. Someone reaches out

Either the expecting family adds Rooted in Grace to their registry, or a friend or relative contacts LaTesha directly to arrange a gift.

  2. Choose an amount or a service

Give toward a specific package, a meal tier, or simply an amount. There is no minimum, and partial contributions are welcome.

  3. Contributions are pooled

Multiple people can contribute toward the same family. LaTesha tracks the total and confirms it with the recipients.

  4. The family chooses how to use it

Once the baby arrives, the family books a free consultation and applies the contributions toward the support that actually fits their situation.

  5. Nothing expires unused

If a family’s needs change, LaTesha works with them to apply contributions toward another service rather than letting anything go to waste.

Group gifting is encouraged.

A baby shower, a workplace collection, a church group, or a few siblings pooling together can all fund real postpartum care. Mention that it is a group gift and LaTesha will coordinate the total.

Instead of more onesies, we would love help with postpartum support. Contributions toward in-home doula care or prepared postpartum meals from Rooted in Grace Doula Care mean rest, recovery, and real help during our first weeks at home. Gifts of any size can be pooled toward a care package. Contact Rooted in Grace at rootedingracedoulacare.com to contribute.

What a contribution can become

Every package includes non-medical postpartum support, newborn care education, feeding support, and nourishing meals. Current pricing is on the packages page.

A stocked freezer

Meal support so the recovering parent is fed without anyone having to plan, shop, or stand in a kitchen.

A real stretch of sleep

Hours of in-home newborn care so a parent can actually sleep instead of resting with one ear open.

A full support package

Repeat visits across the fourth trimester, which is where the compounding relief really shows up.

Simply, less alone

A trained, calm presence in the house during the weeks when most families say the help disappeared.

Gift questions

Yes, and it is the most common way this is used. Contributions are pooled and confirmed with the recipient family.

No. Any amount helps, and small contributions from several people add up quickly.

LaTesha will work with them to apply the contributions toward another service, such as meal support. Nothing is wasted.

Reach out and ask. Depending on the location, LaTesha can discuss what may be possible or refer the family to a doula closer to them.

Yes. Say so when you reach out and LaTesha will keep your name off the confirmation to the family.

Contact LaTesha to arrange it. She will confirm the family, the amount, and the payment method directly. Online gift checkout is being set up and is not active yet.
